HealthAlliance Cyber Attack Update

HealthAlliance Hospital, Margaretville Hospital and Mountainside Residential Care Center experienced a cyberattack that impacted our information technology (IT) systems.

To address the attack and take the necessary steps to fully restore our secure network, at 10 p.m. Friday, October 20, our information technology (IT) experts shut down all connected IT systems at HealthAlliance Hospital, Margaretville Hospital and Mountainside Residential Care Center. The standup of our systems is now progressing, and we look forward to caring for our neighbors with our full suite of services in the near future. 

HealthAlliance Hospital and Margaretville Hospital remain open with walk-in patients getting the necessary assessments and treatment and either released or stabilized and transferred to another WMCHealth facility. Mountainside Residential Care Center has had no disruptions to residents’ care.
