KINGSTON, N.Y. (Sept. 27, 2019) — The 19th annual HealthAlliance Golf Classic, held at the Apple Greens Golf Course in Highland, raised nearly $38,000 to support healthcare programs and services at HealthAlliance Hospitals, members of the Westchester Medical Center Health Network (WMCHealth), in Kingston.
The tournament attracted 32 teams and more than 130 players and fans who enjoyed fun contests, including for the "longest drive," "closest to the pin," and "hole in one," where the player driving the ball from the tee into the hole in a single stroke would win a car provided by Romeo Chevrolet–Buick–GMC in Lake Katrine.
A father-and-son team of HealthAlliance Hospitals physicians Richard Moscowitz, MD, an orthopedic surgeon, and his son, Michael Moscowitz, MD, a general surgeon, won the tournament with a score of 16 under par. The winning team also included friend John Olsen.
In second place was the team from WMCHealth's new Advanced Oncology & Hematology Associates specialty practice at HealthAlliance Hospital: Mary's Avenue Campus in Kingston that included long-serving medical oncologist Riolin Andrade, MD, and teammates John Demsey, David Gill and Jeff Schaller. Third place went to the team from Radio Woodstock 100.1 WDST-FM.
