, Jan. 28, 2016 — Four prominent Ulster County leaders will be recognized at the HealthAlliance Foundation's Tulip Ball April 30. Dr. Mark Josefski is the 2016 Tulip Ball honoree, Glenn L. Decker will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award, and Greg and Thomasine Helsmoortel will be presented with the Community Service Award.
Josefski is an attending physician at HealthAlliance Hospital and the Institute for Family Health, where
he has been practicing since 1989. He is a past president of the New York State Academy of Family Physicians and has been active statewide in medical education for more than two decades. He is a former member of the foundation's board of directors, current vice president of medical staff on the board of HealthAlliance of the Hudson Valley and is involved in a number of other community activities.
Decker has given 34 years of service to Ulster County, including nine as commissioner of social services. He has been a member of numerous local organizations, including the American Cancer Society, and is the immediate past chairman of the HealthAlliance Foundation board, which he joined in 2007.
Greg Helsmoortel is in his eighth term as Saugerties town supervisor and is actively involved in community groups, including the Blue Kats charitable organization and Saugerties Stallions baseball team. Thomasine Helsmoortel is the owner of Helsmoortel Realty and an active supporter of the Ulster County Regional Chamber of Commerce, Saugerties Chamber of Commerce and the Ulster County SPCA. She serves on the board of the HealthAlliance Foundation and the Saugerties Girls Community Club and is a past member of the Kingston-Saugerties Boy and Girls Club board.

The Tulip Ball is the foundation's annual fundraising gala. Proceeds from the event at the Lazy Swan Golf and Country Club Village in Saugerties will benefit the programs, facilities and services of HealthAlliance of the Hudson Valley.
