(July 27, 2016) – The 16th annual HealthAlliance Foundation Golf Classic at Apple Greens Aug. 3 will raise funds to support new equipment, patient care initiatives and staff education at HealthAlliance hospitals.
"The HealthAlliance Foundation is committed to funding technology, treatment and training at our hospitals," explained Tom Collins, chairman of the golf classic and of the HealthAlliance board of directors. "Supporting these ‘three Ts' is the foundation's focus, and the golf classic is a major fundraising event that helps achieve this goal."
Collins said he expected the tournament would raise $55,000 for HealthAlliance: "The golf classic has been growing each year, and we are hopeful the trend will continue in 2016."
The event, presented by The Reis Group and PMA Cos., is a four-person scramble format. The entry fee of $145 a player includes a continental breakfast, lunch on the course and an awards barbeque. Registration begins at 8 a.m., with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Prizes will be awarded to the top teams. The first player to make a hole-in-one at a special hole will win a 2016 sixth-generation Chevrolet Camaro convertible sports car. The first player acing another special hole will win $10,000 cash. Players will also have an opportunity to win a Toshiba flat-screen high-definition television set.
