Kingston, N.Y. – Oct. 1, 2015 – The HealthAlliance Diabetes Education Center will host a free, one-hour seminar, "Managing Diabetes: The Next Step" on Oct. 21.
The program will be led by Mary Ellen Willen, a specially trained member of the A1C Champions Program and diabetes patient, who will share her personal experiences with diabetes and taking insulin. She will also discuss concerns and misconceptions about insulin as well as how insulin can help you achieve blood sugar control.
"Managing Diabetes: The Next Step" will begin at 4:30 p.m. at the HealthAlliance Diabetes Education Center on 37 Albany Ave. in Kingston, and is open to the public. The seminar is part of the center's Diabetes Educational Seminar series occurring every third Wednesday of the month. The seminars include lectures or interactive instruction relating to various aspects of diabetes.
