Accreditations and Awards

Our health care facility and its individual entities have received many accreditations, certifications, awards and honors from our peers, the public and professional organizations. These recognitions demonstrate our commitment to quality patient care and living our mission in every aspect of the services we provide.

Our HealthAlliance Hospital is fully accredited by DNV-GL. This independent body is dedicated to continuously improving the safety and quality of the nation’s health care through voluntary accreditation.

On November 10th, 2010, HealthAlliance of the Hudson Valley was awarded as the first recipient of the “Quality of Life Award in the area of Health Care” from Pattern for Progress.

The American Heart Association/American Stroke Association awarded HealthAlliance Hospital with a Get With The Guidelines® Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award recognizing the organization’s commitment and success in implementing excellent care for stroke patients, according to evidence-based guidelines.

HealthAlliance Hospital's Medical Imaging Department is accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR).

HealthAlliance Hospital received the 2016 Donate Life Outstanding Hospital Outreach Award from the Center for Donation & Transplant.

In 2010 Consumer Reports gave HealthAlliance Hospital a perfect rating for preventing central-line infections in the Intensive Care Unit. HealthAlliance Hospital is rated as one of the top performers in 10 states with a zero ICU central-line infection rate.

HealthAlliance Hospital was one of seven hospitals in New York State to receive a Healthgrades Patient Safety Excellence Award, indicating that its patient safety ratings were in the top five percent of U.S. hospitals.

HealthAlliance Hospital was ranked second in New York State for Safety by Consumer Reports in 2012 based on publicly-reported metrics for infections, readmissions, communication, scanning, complications and mortality.

The Dr. Joseph and Ester B. Hartman Sleep Center at HealthAlliance Hospital is accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM).

The Fern Feldman Anolick Breast Center at HealthAlliance Hospital is recognized as a Breast Imaging Centers of Excellence facility by the American College of Radiology.

HealthAlliance Hospital is recognized as a Community Cancer Hospital by the American College of Surgeons’ Commission on Cancer.
